A ROADSHOW is set to inform people about Thurrock Council's housing services and community involvement this month.

Organised by the Council's Tenant Participation Team, staff from local housing offices will be available to chat to tenants at the Beehive Centre, West Street, Grays.

The event is on Friday October 12 from 10am to 3pm.

The Housing Options team and borough housing associations will also be on hand to discuss local housing opportunities.

Information and advice will be on offer, ranging from rents and benefits to sheltered housing schemes, repairs and maintenance.

Councillor Sue MacPherson, Cabinet Member for Housing and Community Involvement, said: "Residents will benefit from the practical advice and will gain an insight into the services we offer.

"It is a chance for those people who don't visit the Civic Offices to talk openly with staff and make sure they are receiving a good service."

The Safer Thurrock Partnership and the Fire brigade will be giving out information on staying safe.

There will also be a prize draw and free refreshments.
