The Conservative MP for Thurrock, Jackie Doyle-Price, who voted Remain in the EU Referendum, says she would now choose Leave.

In a social media post, she also says that if there was another vote, the margin to leave would be even greater.

She said: "There is an increasingly wide fault line between London and the rest of the country.

"Watch it become a chasm if Parliament fails to deliver Brexit."

In the referendum, Thurrock had one of the highest vote leave percentages with 72 per cent or 57,765 people voting to leave the EU.

This made it the fourth highest vote leave percentage in the country with only Boston, South Holland and Castle Point regions recording a higher percentage.
