Death of "tattoo John" no longer being treated as suspicious
The death of a man in Grays is no longer being treated as suspicious.
John Hicks, 56, from Grays sadly died in hospital on July 4 of this year, having been found with a head injury on London Road the previous day.
A 19-year-old man and a 47-year old woman were arrested on suspicion of murder, but will face no further action in relation to these charges following a post-mortem examination and detailed forensic testing.
The 19-year-old also received a warning notice for the possession of cannabis.
An investigation is ongoing into an alleged assault on Mr Hicks prior to his death.
