It was with total disbelief that I read your recent reports on the daylight stabbing of Louis Nicholson in Grays, who thankfully was able to defend himself enough to get away and prevent what could easily have resulted in another fatality.
Then I read about the report on the injunctions issued against member of a drug-gang operating in the Grays area.
The activities of this gang result in the exploitation of vulnerable young girls.
Are we the next town to uncover a ring of abuse in our area?
What has happened to our town!
Perhaps a more visible police presence and some tougher sentencing (will injunctions really deter this gang’s activities?) would be more appropriate.
Also. Would our local MP like to comment on the reduced Government funding to the police service and its clear impact on our communities?
