Elderly woman targeted by burglars
AN elderly woman was targeted by burglars - waking up to hear men inside her home.
Police are appealing for witnesses after burglars broke into the woman’s home off Easington Way, South Ockendon.
The incident took place at 11.35pm on September 3, with reports that the 82-year-old victim had woken up to hear people men inside.
The suspects searched drawers within one of the rooms but left empty handed after being disturbed.
Police believe they have climbed over neighbours fences to escape.
