Thurrock Council is again celebrating the magnificent work and outstanding achievements of our colleagues in schools and other education settings.

Nominations for the fifth Thurrock Education Awards open on Monday 16 July.

Councillor James Halden, Portfolio Holder for Education and Health, said: “The Thurrock Education awards are an important part of how we recognise success, innovation, leadership and achievements of the staff who work in our early years settings, schools, academies and post 16 provision.

“The bar was set high at last year’s awards ceremony, but I know there is so much more good work to recognise across the borough.

“This year I would like to encourage nominations from everyone including; parents, students, colleagues working within early years settings, schools, academies, post 16 provision, plus local businesses and our community partners to help encourage a variety of nominations and nominees.”

The awards ceremony will be held once again at The Civic Hall, Blackshots Lane on Thursday 22 November 2018.
