Two people, arrested on suspicion of the murder of Grays man John Hicks, 56, have been released on bail.
A 47-year-old woman and 19-year-old man were initially arrested after Mr Hicks, known locally as Tattoo John, was found in London Road, Grays, in the early hours of July 3 with a head injury. He was taken to hospital, however sadly died on the afternoon of Wednesday July 4.
However, the pair have been released on police bail until August 1.
The results of a post-mortem were revealed to be inconclusive, and further forensic testing is to be undertaken.
Detectives have continued to appeal for anyone with information about Mr Hicks’ movements in the days before his death.
