A PURFLEET cruise company has been nominated for two categories in the prestigious 2018 British Travel Awards.

Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) have been nominated in the Best Small Ship Category and this year the company has also been honoured with a nomination in the Best Midsize Ship Category.

Mike Hall, Head of Marketing at CMV said “We are now recognised as Britain’s leading independent cruise line offering a more traditional cruise experience on board smaller, more friendly cruise ships.

"This is excellent news for all the people that work for us here and at our local cruise operations in Tilbury.

"The people of Essex and Kent have the convenience of sailing from a nearby port with us, so we hope that our loyal customers will go online and vote.”

BTA chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: “The British Travel Awards give you the opportunity to reward travel and tourism enterprises for outstanding performance in service delivery and product offering.

"Voting in the 2018 Awards is now open and nominated companies have until 30th September to lobby their happy customers for votes – good luck to Cruise & Maritime Voyages.”

Voting will close for the event on September 30.

The winning company will be announced at the BTA Gala Awards Dinner in London on 28 November 2018.
