Essex Police officers have arrested three suspects after an aggravated burglary in which a noxious substance was used.
The incident took place in Crammavill Street, Grays, at around 2.10am this morning.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "It was reported a number of men forced their way into the property and sprayed an unknown substance in the faces of three people inside.
"A 22 year-old man, a 22 year-old woman, and a 41 year-old woman were taken to hospital for treatment.
"They have all also been arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation.
The team attended an aggravated burglary tonight where a noxious substance was used. Victims treated at the scene and taken to hospital, including 2 officers who were also treated. 3 suspects are currently in custody. Good team work from all 3 emergency services pic.twitter.com/0LYoh03KwP

"The 22 year-old man and 22 year-old woman have been discharged from hospital and are currently in custody.
"The 41 year-old woman remains in hospital.
"Investigations are ongoing to identify and locate the men who broke into the property.

Two officers were affected by the substance and treated by paramedics at the scene.
