A man who stabbed a 17-year-old at a party in Tilbury and pulled a girl's hair has been found guilty.
Cain Richards, 20, of Stephenson Avenue, Tilbury, stood trial accused of grievous bodily harm, common assault and possession of a bladed article.
A jury unanimously found him guilty on the charges of common assault and possession of a bladed article and by a majority of 10 to 12 on the charge of GBH.
The court had previously heard how Richards had stabbed a teenager, who asked to remain anonymous, during an altercation outside a party in Melba Gardens, Tilbury, on Saturday, October 7, 2017.
They also heard how he had attacked the victim's girlfriend by "pulling her hair and trying to knee her."
He appeared at Basildon Crown Court today to hear the verdict.
He was also scolded by Recorder Marshall for breaching his bail conditions by leaving the courthouse early, who said he "clearly couldn't care less."
He is due to be sentenced on April 20 and will be remanded in custody until then.
