In this week’s edition of Down Memory Lane, we take a look back at the different stages of the library in Grays.
In the first photo there is an image of the old Grays Library in 1915.
The library was built in the early 20th Century and is lo - cated on Orsett Road where the current library is.
Later, in the 1960s, the new library – which is in Grays today – began construction.
The second photo is an im - age of the new Grays library under construction behind the old one.
This photo was taken in 1968 and was the beginning of the new Grays complex.
