A lingerie entrepreneur from Thurrock has opened a pop-up shop in the capital as a part of London Fashion Week.
Ella Vine’s luxury lingerie brand, called Ella Vine, captured the eye of RawLuxe, an agent for new luxury designers.
The pop-up shop is open in Ladbroke Road, Notting Hill Gate in London until the end of September.
Ella, 32, of Sewell Close, Chafford Hundred, said: “My aim is to have my shop in Lakeside, which is only down the road from my home. I’m now in talks with investors and am looking forward to developing the brand.”
Ella’s inroads from Thurrock to Kensington & Chelsea have been possible thanks to winning last year a free business mentoring from Essex County Council Business Innovation programme.
Ella said: "The programme helped me to set my sight in the right direction and to persevere.
"I started the business with no money at all and it definitely wasn’t easy but I enjoyed the creative process.
"Now I am giving back by giving work to people who live in Thurrock, as all our tailors and other team members live in Thurrock."
Since the opening of her online store, Ella has been very busy
She added: "Our products, including our innovative poppy suspenders and poppy stockings, are being stocked in brick and mortar boutiques in Southend and in Leigh and will be soon sold in Swindon and in France.
"We are getting more and more exposure in the fashion media and we are receiving wholesale enquiries from as far as India."
