A man was threatened with what is thought to have been a knife during an attempted robbery.
Police are appealing for witness after the incident in Cromwell Road, Grays shortly before 6.30pm yesterday.
A 22-year-old man has been approached from behind by two men who have tried to grab his mobile phone. They have threatened him with what is believed to be a knife.
Nothing was taken and there were no injuries.
The suspects are described as black and aged in their late teens, early 20s. One man was wearing a red coat with a black face mask and jeans. The other man was wearing a black hooded top that was covering his face.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Grays police station on 101 quoting inc 0785 of 26/04 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
