A CHARITY shop is taking part in a Christmas Light Switch On event.
Staff and volunteers in St. Luke’s Hospice Tilbury shop, Calcutta Road, Tilbury are joining in the Christmas light switch-on celebrations on Friday December 2 by hosting a ‘Santa’s Grotto’ in their shop between 5pm and 9pm.
Sue Freemantle shop Manager said: “Last year our Christmas Grotto was very busy, and regular customers have been asking us since the summer if Santa will be visiting our shop again!
“Every child receives a gift which have all been donated so every penny of the £2 charge goes straight to the Hospice to care for patients.’’
To avoid disappointment on the night tickets can be booked in advance by telephoning the Tilbury Shop on 01375 859779 or calling in.
