The Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus is sending a shout-out for new members.
The chorus, which performs regularly in London at the Royal Opera House as well as around Thurrock, recruits only once a year so wannabe singers are being urged to grab their chance.
The 120 member outfit, which performs a range of traditional opera, classical choral works and contemporary music, recently celebrated its anniversary with a sell-out concert at the Civic Hall in Grays.
A spokesman said: “All singing abilities are welcome and no previous singing experience is needed to join.
"This year, the Chorus is particularly looking for male tenors and basses and high soprano voices.”
A special ‘taster session’ will run on Monday September 19 from 7.15pm to 9.30pm at Palmer’s Collage in Grays.
