A BIKER who died in hospital after suffering multiple injuries in a road accident has been named locally as Zach Smallcombe.
The 27-year-old, from Grays, died at Royal London Hospital on Saturday, July 4, following the collision on Friday, June 26.
The incident happened at the junction of New Road and Sherfield Road (B189) shortly before 7pm when a black motorbike and red Mercedes car were in collision.
Police arrested the car driver, a woman in her 60s from the Grays area, on suspicion of careless driving. She was bailed until October 10 pending further enquiries.
