THE second anniversary of the revamped 99 bus route through Tilbury has been celebrated.
The service, managed by c2c and operated by Ensignbus, has proved popular with local residents, with 80,000 passenger journeys made in the past two years.
To mark the anniversary, a new, more comfortable bus is now running on the 99 route.
Phil Sullivan of c2c said: “Since we made the original improvements to the 99 bus service, it has completed more than 16,500 circuits of the route and coveredmore than 82,000 miles.”
“The route has its own bus and its own driver, putting this service at the heart of the local community, as we knowmany people rely on the 99 route.”
