THIS letter is to express disappointment in Thurrock Council who, having promised action to deal with parents who steadfastly refuse to consider the residents by their often illegal parking outside Tudor Court Primary School, have yet again famously failed to act.

Residents are subjected several times every day to these parents parking on the double yellow lines which do exist, parking in and across driveways, using foul and abusive language, polluting homes by leaving their engines running and playing sound systems at high volume, to name but a few misdemeanours.

Also, why is it necessary for a coach to arrive at 6.05am but not depart from the school until 10.50am? This is a densely populated area, not a coach park.

Tudor Court has said a meeting would take place with residents and this has not happened.

The council, it would appear, refuses to act judging by its conspicuous absence or, at best, low profile.

Perhaps the council would also like to explain why there are no traffic calming measures in the area, or a 20mph speed limit, as exists around other primary schools?

The problems in the area are demonstrated by visiting the Axa Insurance website which details an extensive list of incidents.

Hopefully the council will be brought to its senses in the near future and act decisively.
