A NEW Chinese restaurant has opened in Chafford Hundred, just months after another one closed.

The Oriental Pan Asian celebrated its official opening last Thursday, with special guests in attendance.

Mayor Yash Gupta and Chafford councillors Tunde Ojetola and Charlie Key joined numerous others who had played a part in getting the restaurant, in Fleming Road, open.

It will serve a whole host of Asian fusion dishes, including traditional Chinese staple dishes such as sweet and sour chicken.

It will also be able to hold business lunches and private functions such as weddings. A few months ago, the site was home to another Chinese restaurant, 210BC, which closed down.

Cllr Ojetola said: “Can I congratulate you for opening this place. It was a shame when it closed down a few months back because it’s one of the main sit-down areas in Chafford Hundred.

“It will be a multi-purpose centre. It’s brilliant.”

Mayor Yash Gupta said: “This is a beautiful restaurant and Chafford Hundred is a beautiful place.

“I’m sure this place will do good business. “People will love the Chinese food.”
