Classes, Courses & Workshops
Archery Experience Days at Hatfield Forest
Adults and children will be able to try their hand at archery in a series of have-a-go activities and experience days at Hatfield Forest this July and August.

Wednesdays offer half-day experience sessions in the heart of the forest. Fully-tutored and suitable for all abilities, these sessions cover three different periods of the Forest’s history. You’ll be kitted out with a bow, quiver of arrows and armguard for your use, then taught how to loose arrows like a true archer.

Once you’re feeling confident, the coaches will lead you through time as you discover and try out the different bows and targets used by Roman, medieval and modern archers. Have you ever wondered who made all the arrows for medieval battles, or why Romans didn’t make their bows from wood? This is your chance to find out!

The sessions will be led by respected Essex company White Dragon Archery, who teach the skills and history of archery all over the country. Booking essential on 03442 491 895.
