Puffin Crossing - Cherrydown East, Basildon
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49, 53 and Part III & IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the orders:
1. To introduce a Prohibition of Motor Vehicles on the western access to Trafford House in the Borough of Basildon situated approximately 20 metres east of its junction with Station Way and the access is approximately 3.75 metres wide.

2. To replace the existing 'Permit M Holders Only at Any Time' restriction with 'Permit A Holders Only Mon-Sat 9am-5pm' on the following length of Takely Ride in the Borough of Basildon:

Road Description

Takely Ride, NORTH SIDE: From a point 6.5 metres east of a point in line with the eastern Basildon building line of 58 Takely Ride, eastwards for 6 metres.

Properties 1-53 odd and 2-72 even from Takely Ride will be eligible to apply for a permit. The cost of a permit is £33.50 (from 1 April 2018) per annum. Visitor tickets are also available. 3. To revoke the 'No Waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm' restrictions on the following length of Cherrydown East in the Borough of Basildon:

Cherrydown NORTH SIDE: from a point approximately 50 metres north-east of the junction East, Basildon with Cherrydown East (service road), north eastwards for a distance of approximately 195 metres.
SOUTH SIDE: from a point approximately 54 metres north-east of the junction with Cherrydown East (service road), north eastwards for a distance of approximately 161 metres.
4. To revoke the 'No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on the following length of Cherrydown East in the Borough of Basildon to allow the installation for a new Signal controlled pedestrian crossing (puffin crossing):

Cherrydown SOUTH SIDE: from a point 14 metres north east of the junction with Cherrydown East, Basildon East Service Road, north eastwards for a distance of approximately 38 metres.
NORTH SIDE: from a point 14 metres north east of the junction with Cherrydown East Service Road, north eastwards for a distance of approximately 38 metres.
5. To relocate the existing 'No Stopping at Any Time except Taxis' and 'No Stopping at Any Time except Buses' on the following length of Cherrydown East Service Road in the Borough of Basildon:

6. To introduce 'No Waiting at Any Time' restrictions on the following length of Cherrydown East and Cherrydown East Service Road in the Borough of Basildon:

NORTH SIDE: from a point approximately 20 metres east of its junction with Station Way, eastwards for a distance of approximately 7.5 metres.
NORTH SIDE: from a point in line with the western flank wall of no. 437-843 Cherrydown East, in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately
100 metres.
SOUTH SIDE: from a point in line with the western flank wall of no. 437-843 Cherrydown East, in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 77 metres.
This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (The Broadway, Borough of Basildon) (Parking and Waiting) Consolidation Order 2008 by substituting tile number TQ700 882 revision 3 to revision 5 and TQ700 880 revision 4 to revision 6.
Notice is also hereby given that under Sections 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
the Essex County Council proposes to establish a Puffin Crossing on the following length of
Cherrydown East in the Borough of Basildon located as follows:-

Cherrydown The centre of the proposed Puffin crossing is to be approximately 28 metres East, Basildon east from its junction with Cherrydown East (service road)
