BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - MONTPELIER ROAD, BRIGHTON
1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 15th January 2018 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:-
(a) The Temporary Closure of Montpelier Road from the junction of Sillwood Street to the junction of Kings Road, with access only maintained for residents, businesses and emergency services. A diversion for vehicular traffic will be via both Sillwood Street, Bedford Square, and Sillwood Street, Little Preston Street.
(b) The Temporary Northbound Closure of Montpelier Road from the junction of Western Road Northbound for a distance of approximately 15 metres, for the gas connection on Western Road. A diversion for vehicular traffic
will be via Western Road, Temple Street.
2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors to carry out Gas Main Replacement works.
3. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
4. This Order comes into force on 15th January 2018 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, works are anticipated to take 8 weeks.
