PUBLIC PATH NOTICE THE LAKE DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC 561022, HALL LANE, OVER STAVELEY PARISH TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2017

NOTICE IS GIVEN that under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Lake District National Park Authority intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order. The effect of the order will be to prohibit public traffic for all purposes from proceeding over Byway Open to All Traffic 561022, Hall Lane, Staveley, between NY 4687 0134 and NY 4694 0123, to enable bridge/culvert replacement work.

The notice and plan showing the route concerned maybe inspected during normal office or opening hours at the National Park Authority Offices, MurleyMoss, Oxenholme Road, Kendal, LA9 7RL; at South Lakeland District Council, South Lakeland House, Lowther Street, Kendal, LA9 4DQ; and at Staveley Post Office, 22 Main Street, Staveley, Kendal, Cumbria LA8 9LN; and is also available online atwww.lakedistrict.gov.uk/visiting/ thingstodo/rowupdates/rowclosures

The order will take effect on 16 September 2017 and will continue in force for up to six months, but it is expected that the path will be closed during works for only about one or two weeks during this period. When works are taking place, signs will be erected showing the closed path and the alternative route for pedestrians, cyclists and horseriders. There is no alternative route for vehicles. The path will be accessible as normal other than on these days. If the works have not been completed the closure may be extended for a further period with approval of the Secretary of State.
