THE M25 MOTORWAY, A282, A13 AND A1089 TRUNK ROADS NEAR BRENTWOOD AND THURROCK TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

THE M25 MOTORWAY, A282, A13 AND A1089 TRUNK ROADS NEAR BRENTWOOD AND THURROCK TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the M25 Motorway, and the A282, A13 and A1089 Trunk Roads in the County of Essex, the Unitary Authority of Thurrock, and the London Borough of Havering, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to:-
a) authorise the phased overnight closure of;

i) both carriageways of the M25 between Junction 28 (Brook Street Interchange) (A12) and Junction 29 (Cranham Interchange) (A127);

ii) the westbound carriageway of the A13 between the exit and entry points of the link roads to and from the A1089 at Baker Street Interchange (A1089);

iii) the eastbound carriageway of the A13 between the exit and entry points of the link roads to and from the A1089 at Baker Street Interchange (A1089);

iv) both carriageways of the A1089 between Marshfoot Interchange (A126) and Asda Roundabout;

v) the westbound carriageway of the A13 between the exit and entry roads at Wennington Interchange (A1306);

vi) the road leading to the clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 28 (Brook Street Interchange) (A12);

vii) the road leading from the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 28 (Brook Street Interchange) (A12);

viii) the road leading from the clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 29 (Cranham Interchange) (A127);

ix) the road leading to the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 29 (Cranham Interchange) (A127);

x) the road leading from the northbound carriageway of the A1089 at Marshfoot Interchange (A126);

xi) the road leading to the southbound carriageway of the A1089 at Marshfoot Interchange (A126);

xii) the road leading from the westbound carriageway of the A13 at Wennington Interchange (A1306); and

xiii) the road connecting the roundabout at Mar Dyke Interchange (M25 Junction 30) (A13) to the roundabout at Purfleet Interchange (M25 Junction 31);

b) impose an overnight 50mph speed limit on;

i) both carriageways of the M25 and the A282 between Junction 27 (M11 Junction 6) and Junction 31 (Purfleet Interchange) (A1306);

ii) the roads leading to the clockwise carriageway of the M25 from the M11 at Junction 27 (M11 Junction 6);

iii) the roads leading to both carriageways of the M25 at Junction 28 (Brook Street Interchange) (A13);

iv) the roads leading to both carriageways of the M25 at Junction 29 (Cranham Interchange) (A127);

v) the road leading to the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 at Junction 30 (Mar Dyke Interchange) (A13);

vi) the road connecting the roundabout at Mar Dyke Interchange (M25 Junction 30) (A13) to the roundabout at Purfleet Interchange (M25 Junction 31); and

vii) the road connecting the road described in b) vi) above to the clockwise carriageway of the A282 Trunk Road at Mar Dyke Interchange (M25 Junction 30) (A13).

The speed limit would operate during lane closures, and at such times as appropriately notified by signs, the provisions of Regulation 12 of the Motorways Traffic (England and Wales) Regulations would be suspended insofar as they relate to a vehicle being driven in the right hand lane of the carriageways described in b) i) above.
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake resurfacing, road marking, studs and loops replacement, bridge maintenance, carriageway and structural inspections, all associated work and all routine maintenance.
It is expected that the work would last for approximately 7 days starting
on or after Monday 22nd May 2017. The overnight closures would take
place between (maximum period) -
20:30 - 05:30 hours Monday - Thursday
21:00 - 06:00 hours Friday
20:30 - 05:00 hours Saturday
20:30 - 05:30 hours Sunday
The Order would come into force on 20 May 2017 and have a maximum
duration of eighteen months.
Traffic affected by the closures in;
a) i) above would be diverted using the A12 and A127;
a) ii) above would be diverted southbound on the A1089 to Asda
Roundabout and return;
a) iii) above would be diverted southbound on the A1089 to Marshfoot Interchange (A126) and return;
a) iv) above would be diverted using the A126 and Dock Road; a) v) above would be directed to leave the carriageway and re-join; a) xii) above would be diverted westbound to Ferry Lane Interchange and return; and
a) xiii) above would be diverted westbound on the A13 to Wennington Interchange (A1306) and return using the A1306 to M25 Junction 31 (Purfleet Interchange) (A282/A1306).
All other closures would use alternative junctions on the M25 and return. The temporary closures, speed restriction, and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
