LICENSING ACT 2003 NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO GRANT PREMISES LICENCE
Premises:The Backstage Centre High House Production Park Vellacott Close, Off London Road Purfleet, Essex, RM19 1AS
Notice is given that Creative and Cultural Industries Trading Ltd has applied to the Licensing Authority to grant the Premises Licence under the Licensing Act 2003.
The Proposed application is for: Provision of entertainment (plays, live and recorded music, dance), provision of facilities for making music and for dancing ,and the sale of alcohol for consumption on the premises.
Description: Although the main purpose of the Backstage Centre is as a training facility, from time to time it will be used for rehearsals and performances of live music, dance and theatre. There is also a recording studio on site. During performances a bar may be available for the purchase of alcohol for consumption on the premises. Proposed hours for provision of entertainment and facilities for making music and for dancing are 8.00-23.00 Mon-Sun, although we expect that core hours will be 9.00-18.00. Proposed hours for the sale of alcohol are 11.00-23.00 Mon-Sun but it is expected that this will be an occasional event rather than a daily one.
Anyone who wishes to make representations regarding this application must give notice in writing to: The Licensing Department, Thurrock Council, New Road, Grays RM17 6SL.
Representations must be received within 28 days of the date of this Notice.
The Application Record and Register may be viewed during normal office hours at the above address.
It is an offence under Section 158 of the Licensing Act 2003, knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application and the maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for the offence is up to level 5 on the standard scale(£5000).
