FORT ROAD COMMON Parish of West Tilbury, Borough of Thurrock, County of Essex.


West Tilbury Commons Conservators have applied to the secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Fort Road Common.The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

The proposed works are: Transfer of ownership of strip of land alongside existing access road to A W G site to permit road widening. The area of land of 769 square metres will constitute a strip between the existing access road and the old counter wall to the south of Fort Road Common. This road will be fenced. In exchange a strip of land of 769 square metres adjacent to the existing A W G site on the eastern side of Fort Road Common will be opened by removing the existing boundary fence and relocating it to a suitable line.

 A copy of the application form and accompanying documents can be inspected at Messrs. Hattens Solicitors, 90 Orsett Road, Grays, Essex during normal office hours until 18th January 2013.

Any objections or representations should be sent in writing ON or BEFORE that date to the Planning Inspectorate at : Room 3/25, Hawk Wing,Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol. BS1 6PN or commonlandcasework@pins.gsi.gov.uk Letters sent to the Planning Inspectorate cannot be treated as confidential. They will be copied to the applicant and possibly to other interested parties.
