M25 MOTORWAY AND THE A3 AND A282 TRUNK ROADS TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the M25 Motorway and the A3 and A282 Trunk Roads in the Counties of Surrey and Kent, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise: -
1. the day time closure of the hard shoulder adjacent to -

(a) the London-bound carriageway of the A3 between a point 200 metres west of the A307 overbridge and the exit slip road at Esher Common (A244);

(b) the coast-bound carriageway of the A3 between the entry slip road at Esher Common (A244) the exit slip road at Painshill Interchange (A245);

(c) the London-bound carriageway of the A3 between a point 2600 metres northeast of the eastern underbridge for the roundabout at Esher Common (A244) and a point 70 metres north of Clayton Road overbridge; and

(d) the coast-bound carriageway of the A3 between points 75 metres and 735 metres west of Birchwood Lane underbridge.

2. the overnight closure of -

(a) the coast-bound carriageway of the A3 between Esher Common (A244) and Painshill Interchange (A245), and all slip roads leading to and from this length of carriageway;

(b) the road connecting from the coast-bound carriageway of the A3 to the westbound carriageway of the A309 at Hook Underpass (A309);

(c) the road leading from the coast-bound carriageway of the A3 at Esher Common (A244);

(d) the road leading from the London-bound carriageway of the A3 at Esher Common (A244);

(e) the road leading to the anti-clockwise carriageway of the A282, and the road connecting to this slip road from the westbound link road (connecting the roundabouts) at Littlebrook Interchange (M25 Junction 1A) (A206/B2228);

(f) the road connecting the roundabout at Darenth Interchange (M25 Junction 2) (A282/A2) to the roundabout at Princes Road Interchange (M25 Junction 1B) (A225/A296);

(g) the road leading to the anti-clockwise carriageway of the A282 at Princes Road Interchange (M25 Junction 1B) (A225/A296); and

(h) the road leading from the clockwise carriageway of the A282 at Princes Road Interchange (M25 Junction 1B) (A225/A296).

(i) the hard shoulder adjacent to;

i) the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between points 160 metres and 660 metres west of Leatherhead Road (A24) overbridge;

ii) the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between points 340 metres and 2350 metres west of Tilley Lane underbridge;

iii) the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between points 370 metres and 1070 metres west of the A243 underbridge;

iv) the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between points 850 metres and 2840 metres west of Woodlands Road underbridge;

v) the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 between a point 1060 metres southeast of Hurst Lane underbridge and a point 440 metres southeast of Dorking Road (B2032) underbridge; and

vi) the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25 between point 270 metres and 1150 metres south of the A245 underbridge.

These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake carriageway, drainage, signage, geotechnical, electrical, bridge, barrier and all associated works.
It is expected that the work would last for approximately 4 months starting on or after Wednesday 9th February 2022. The overnight closures would take place between: - (maximum periods subject to area restrictions)
Mondays - Thursdays 21:00 - 05:30
Fridays 22:00 - 06:00
Saturdays 21:00-06:00
Sundays 21:00 - 05:30

The Order would come into force on 7th February 2022 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when all phases of the work are complete.
Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted via other junctions of the M25, A3 and the A282 or by using the A206, A244, A245, A309, A317 and the B365. The diversion route would vary depending on the closure in force.
The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
