LONDON BOROUGH OF BROMLEY The Bromley (Prescribed Route) (No. *) (Road Closure) Order 2020. (Star Lane, St. Mary Cray)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under Section 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the Order would be to make permanent the temporary road closure that has been in existence since March 2019, to deter fly tipping by prohibiting vehicles from entering and proceeding in Star Lane, St. Mary Cray between its junctions with Sweeps Lane and Hockenden Lane/Sheepcote Lane.
Details of prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Order.
A copy of the proposed order, of the plan of the scheme and of the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order can be made available by emailing
during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays.
ANY person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Environment and Public Protection, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, BR1 3UH, or by emailing
, quoting reference ADE(TP)/RP/T100/694 not later than 4th November 2020.
Persons objecting to the proposed order should be aware that under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this Notice may be open to public inspection.
