APPLICATION FOR THE PROPOSED A303 AMESBURY TO BERWICK DOWN DEVELOPMENT CONSENT (THE APPLICATION) CORRECTIONNotice ID: BOU1840018
APPLICATION FOR THE PROPOSED A303 AMESBURY TO BERWICK DOWN DEVELOPMENT CONSENT (THE APPLICATION) CORRECTION
Due to an error in the Salisbury Journal / Vale Journal, an incorrect form of notice ("the Incorrect Notice") was published in this newspaper on 27 August 2020 that related to the Application.
The purpose of the notice was to publicise the fact that Highways England is inviting comments on information it has provided to the Secretary of State in relation to the environmental statement submitted in support of the Application and to request comments from interested parties by 23:59 on 28 September 2020.
A copy of the form of notice that should have correctly been published in this newspaper and the documents to which it relates can be viewed on the Application's project page of the National Infrastructure Planning website: https://infrastructure.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/projects/south-west/a303-stonehenge/?ipcsection=docs The Incorrect Notice stated that:
* the Secretary of State considered the information submitted by Highways England to be "further environmental information" under the Infrastructure Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017. This is incorrect - instead, the Secretary of State considers that the information is other substantive information under those Regulations but has asked Highways England to advertise it as if it were further environmental information;
* the deadline for comments on the information is "[X]". This should be read as 23.59 on 28 September 2020; and
* if the restrictions imposed by the Government in response to coronavirus (COVID-19) are lifted and Salisbury Library reopens, hard copies of the relevant documents will be available as soon as practicable at Salisbury Library. For the avoidance of doubt, this should have also included reference to Trowbridge Library. Copies will be available until and including 28 September 2020.
As set out in the correct form of the notice, comments on the information should be submitted to the Secretary of State for Transport via the Planning Inspectorate Case Team, by email to: A303Stonehenge@planninginspectorate.gov.uk Given the coronavirus (COVID-19) emergency, the Planning Inspectorate is currently unable to accept hard copies of consultation responses. If you will have difficulty in submitting a response by the deadline given above, please inform the Planning Inspectorate Case Team as soon as possible at the above email address or by phone on 0303 444 5000.
