HARLOW DISTRICT COUNCIL LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 122 (2A) APPROPRATION OF LAND INCLUDING OPEN SPACE LAND ADJACENT TO BUSHEY CROFT AND RUSHES MEAD, HARLOW, ESSEX
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 122(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972, Harlow District Council intends to appropriate the land between Bushey Croft and Rushes Mead and adjacent to Rushes Mead Allotments ("land"), being the open space shown cross-hatched red on the plan (referenced GIM4508-318) for housing purposes currently laid to grass and next to the former garage site laid to tarmac and accessible only from Tawneys Road.
The land measures 1.15 acres (0.465 hectares). The land, acquired originally by the Council pursuant to the Allotment Acts 1908 to 1950, is required for the development of sixteen affordable homes comprising 6 no. 2 bedroom, and 10 no. three bedroom houses on the land, to be provided pursuant to planning permission granted under reference HW/FUL/18/00189 dated 22 August 2018.
The plan and the planning permission decision notice can be inspected on the Public Notice Board at the Civic Centre, Water Gardens, Harlow, Essex CM20 1WG during normal office hours (excepting Bank Holidays) and copies may be obtained on payment of the Council's copying charges.
