NOTICE IS HEREBY given that Tilbury Green Power Limited, Tilbury Docks, Port of Tilbury, Essex RM18 7PU (the “Applicant”) has submitted further environmental information supplementing the environmental information previously provided in support of the above application made to the Secretary of State for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (the “Secretary of State”) under Section 36C of the Electricity Act 1989 to vary the consent granted on 15 September 2014 (the “2014 Consent”) and the direction under Section 90 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (Section 90 Direction) to construct and operate a biomass and energy from waste generating station at Tilbury Docks, Essex. The current Section 36 Consent authorises the construction and operation of two generating units having a combined generating capacity of 60 MW. The Variation Application requests the Secretary of State to consent to vary the 2014 Consent and the Section 90 Direction as follows: • Increase in electricity generating capacity to 80 MW; • Modify the design of the second electricity generating unit (the first generating unit is constructed and operational); • Remove restrictions relating to waste material types, catchment areas and transport to site; and • Improve site connectivity by the construction of a bridge over Botney Channel. The further environmental information is available free of charge on the application website www.TilburyERF.com Copies of the further environmental information may be inspected free of charge during normal working hours at: Thurrock Council Public Planning Records, Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, Essex RM17 6SL Hard copies (at a cost of £15) and CD copies (at a cost of £5) of the further environmental information documents may be obtained from Tilbury Green Power Limited via the link on the application website. Please note that anyone who has previously made representations in respect of the application need not do so again unless they wish to raise new issues about the further environmental information not covered in their previous representations. Unless otherwise indicated, copies of any objections or representations received will be regarded as public documents and will be copied to the Applicant and Thurrock Council. Representations will be published on the application website. Representations received by the Secretary of State will be handled in compliance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation. Any representations received will be shared with Thurrock Council and the Applicant with all personal information removed.
