Man in court over Syria terrorism

A man will face Westminster Magistrates' Court following his arrest by the Met's Counter Terrorism Command
A 31-year-old man is due to appear in court, where he is expected to be charged over an investigation into people travelling to Syria in support of terrorist activity.
The unnamed man was arrested in east London on Thursday evening by officers from the Met's Counter Terrorism Command (SO15) after an arrest warrant was granted by a district judge.
He is due to appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates' Court, where he will be charged with the preparation of terrorist acts contrary to Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006, said a Metropolitan Police spokesman.
The man was originally arrested on January 10 and released without charge on January 16.
Two other men have previously been charged in connection with the investigation.
