Tilbury are Abbey bound in survival bid
THIRD-from-bottom Tilbury will attempt to put more daylight between themselves and the bottom two when they visit Waltham Abbey in the Ryman Division One North tonight.
Tilbury currently lead a rejuvenated Wivenhoe Town side by three points from two fewer matches.
Bottom club Ilford, four points behind Wivenhoe from a game more, appear doomed for the drop.
This is a replay of the match earlier in the season when, with Abbey winning 1-0, Tilbury's Lloyd Anthony, now with Great Wakering, was allegedly assaulted after being sent off.
An appeal by Tilbury that the replayed game should be played behind closed doors was narrowly rejected.
