Dockers brushed away

Redbridge 3, Tilbury 0

TILBURY'S renowned battling qualities failed to get them anything from Saturday's Ryman Division One North clash at Redbridge.

Things didn't go right from the start, when Dockers started with ten players due to the late arrival of Kurt Smith and though the striker joined the fray a few minutes after the kick-off the disjointed beginning didn't help their cause.

True they survived until the latter stages of the first half before conceding, but they were barely at the races' for the opening 45.

And Redbridge, for whom Steve Butterworth was a dominant force in midfield, had hit the bar on 20 minutes through Leon Antoine and they finally opened their account with a goal from Billy Holland on 35 minutes after he raced through a gap in the visiting defence and lobbed Dockers keeper Paul Agu.

Jack Wignall grabbed a second with a bullet header five minutes before the break.

Dockers were much improved in the second half and chances on 52 minutes, when Lee Springer's effort was saved by Tony Tucker, and 63 minutes Chris Lockwood picked out Kurt Smith with a free-kick but the young marksman squandered the opportunity.

They also had pretty good claims for a penalty waved away before the game was put beyond reach on 88 minutes when Aaron Gale fired home Redbridge's third from close range.

Dockers remain three places from the foot of the table and know they go into the new year with a relegation battle to fight, though they will hope to raise spirits against Aveley in the Boxing Day derby at Chadfields.

first half tilbury defence under constant pressure and thought 3 out of 4 of them done well number 3 was poor.and keeper still costs us a goal a game.he is out of his depth. kurt should have been sub no player should be bigger than the team. again the officials were poor second half tilbury were far better side should have had a pen.Still do no get why o many people including editor of gazette feel need put tilbury down, they slate the ground etc but to be fair redbridges gound is awful.why have so many people got hang ups with tilbry

to be fair i thought the whole back were superb the ball waS constantly down our end for the first half and it was the midfield who were pretty awful and i agree kurt smith shouldnt have played and number 3 to be fair was 2 on 1 most of the game with no support and did fearly well. not sure about 451

Its good that footie is a game of opinions cos the back line with the exception of Paul King was pretty poor, certainly not 'superb' a million miles from it. King was the only person who seemed to want to win.Cant understand why Luke was on the bench either, especially as smudger was played in midfield, confusing? Luke did well when he came on. The set up was wrong and John Lawrence should take the blame.First goal error left back not moving out and playing them all onside. second goal player got in front of hess and scored a good header.I don't know where superb comes from but its a game of views. Tilbury were poor and never really looked like scoring.

fair enough superb was not the right word to use. the manager should not of started with one up top because there was to much pressure from redbridge. midfield did not do nothing and the attackers to help the defence out at all which led to redbridge bombarding the tilbury goal which meant defenders had to much to do for at least an hour of redbridge attacking.

paul king was superb again and doesnt deserve to be on losing side. i heard he was signing for east thurrock. will be a big miss but can you blame him if he signs for them. Midfield non event and needs to be sorted, thats where most games are won and yet thats where we are weakest. Agu not up to it. Rod when did you see brad king last?

If tilbury had 10 paul kings and his brother in goal they would romp this league and the one above. Paul King is conference standard and not east thurrock. Is he on contract at tibury ?

Guys Guys Guys

Lets leave slagging players and managment away from this meesage board.....

After showing we have bawe can compete with the best teams in the league one bad proformance dont make us a bad team

Yes paul king had a sound game and i thought chris lockwood was better in the 2nd half

Its so easy for you faceless people to hide behinde a computer screen and slag off players and managment alike but come on guys lets pull together and we can pull out of this

I dont know who wrote the above report but was told its the tilbury secutary mark southgate if so mark get behinde the lads dont slag them off

I also hear paul king is on his way to east thurrock and he will be a massive loss to the team but like someone said about kurt smith no player is bigger than the team

anyway thats my rant over and i will have a good game on wednesday if picked you mark my words ??????????

Kingy

I maybe faceless but i will tell the players in the dressing room on boxing day who i am..... your going on here making out your knigy now thats faceless is it not

Its no good anyone slagging off players or managment mate is it now ? i agree saturdays line up did baffle a lot of people nathen at right back snudger .jay .and matty in the middle but in football you do need to try things out

All i am saying most of the tilbury players read this message board and it aint a confidance booster when they read people slagging them off is it ?

And why do people like to stick the knife in on tilbury regards there steadium when redbridges ground is 3 times worse than tilbury ?

All i will say on the matter i know nealy all the teams in our league have a much bigger budget than us and tilbury is not the biggest draw in non league football but if we all stick together we will be ok but what we dont need is players..players parents...and friends coming oin here having a go all the time...its not tilbury fans because we have none lol

What a great idea maybe get kingy to ask his mum and dad to maanage the side you could also get his other family members to run the bar do the turnstiles and maybe become the physio.why we are at it lets re nane the club king fc so much better than tilbury dont you think !!!!

now all jokes aside since the summer this message board is on meltdown and this after maybe 5 posts were put on here in 2 seasons. so lads its not hard to see that most of the s h i t on here has come from players and thats not good is it !!!!

First may i say that this is the real Kingy and this is the 2nd time i hav ever been on this,u are right this is no good for the team spirit, so could the gutless coward come forward and put their hands up,whoever it is must be a sad individual and be very lonely to sit on the computor and write these things. All i want to do is start winning games and to start moving up the table.so i thought i would come on here to let every1 know that its not me writing those silly things especially bigging myself up.This is the lst time im coming on here so i will leave every1 to carry on playing there silly games if it makes u feel better, all i can say is players ignore all this as we are all a team and need to stick together to start getting points cheers.kingy
