DESPITE a hat-trick from Emiel Aiken, Tilbury had to settle for a share of the spoils in an eight-goal thriller against Norwich United.

The Dockers started strongly and took the game to bottom of the league Norwich United.

After just two minutes, Emiel Aiken notched his first of the afternoon.

And eight minutes later, Gary Henty's side doubled their lead thanks to Toby Aromolaran.

But the visitors hit back with two goals in three first half minutes.

Lawrence Cheese gave Norwich hope on 23 minutes, before Jamie Speller equalised.

Aiken fired home six minutes before the break to restore the Dockers' advantage.

A Danny Smith own goal on 71 minutes pulled Norwich back on level terms, only for Emiel Aiken to complete his hat-trick on 81 minutes.

With the game going into injury time, substitute Lee Will scored for Norwich to secure their first point of the season.

Elsewhere, Aveley were held to a goalless draw at Bury Town.

The home side went into the clash in the Isthmian North play-off places, while Terry Spillane's side had suffered defeats to Heybridge Swifts and Tilbury in the last seven days.

But the Millers held their own and were able to travel back to Parkside with a point to show for their efforts.
