NON-LEAGUE sides across south Essex have learned who they will face in the early rounds of the FA Cup and FA Trophy.

The FA Cup's preliminary round will be contested on Saturday, August 19, with Grays Athletic being handed a home time against Redbridge or Stansted.

Redbridge and Stansted will go head-to-head in the extra preliminary round - which will be played two weeks earlier - with the winner travelling to Parkside.

Meanwhile, Aveley have been handed a difficult tie as they will travel to AFC Sudbury.

The Suffolk side, who will also face the Millers in the Isthmian North this season, were relegated from the Isthmian Premier League last term.

Gary Henty's Tilbury will also be on the road for the preliminary round of the FA Cup.

Bury Town will welcome the Dockers to Ram Meadow.

Meanwhile, the FA Trophy preliminary round will kick off on Saturday, October 7.

Like in the FA Cup preliminary round, Grays have been handed a home tie, while Aveley and Tilbury will face away clashes.

Jamie Stuart's side will take on Norwich United, while Aveley and Tilbury will travel to Marlow and Potters Bar Town respectively.

All three sides have also discovered who they will take on in the first qualifying round, which will be played on Saturday, October 28, should they get the better of their opponents.

Grays would travel to Cray Wanderers or Horsham, while Aveley would be on the road once again as they have been drawn away to Burgess Hill Town.

Meanwhile, Tilbury would welcome Witham Town to Chadfields if they see off Potters Bar Town.

It is in the first qualifying round that Thurrock will come into the FA Trophy.

Thurrock, who do not need to compete in the preliminary round due to their promotion to the Isthmian Premier League following the play-off final win over Maldon & Tiptree last season, face a tough trip to Kingstonian.

The K's, who will also go head-to-head with Mark Stimson's side in the Isthmian Premier League, are currently managed by former Billericay Town boss Craig Edwards.
