TILBURY manager Gary Henty admitted that his side need to ‘cut out the individual errors’ in order to get back to winning ways.

The Dockers suffered a 2-0 defeat to Phoenix Sports at Chadfields.

Goals from Theo Fairweather-Johnson and Jack Harry were enough to see off Henty’s side and leave Tilbury with just two wins from their last 17 games.

And the Dockers boss said: “I thought we started the game well, but conceded two sloppy goals.

“We need to cut out the individual errors, which are really costing us.”

Phoenix goalkeeper Steve Phillips saved a Ryan Melaugh free kick that proved to be Tilbury’s only shot on target after seven minutes.

Only five minutes later, Fairweather-Johnson fired a low shot past Clarke Bogard to give the visitors the lead.

Barry met a looping ball into the area to double Phoenix’s lead after 24 minutes.

Bogard denied Christie Pattison from making it three before half time.

Emiel Aiken, who was making his first start of the year, was lively going forward but could not force an opening.

Phoenix substitute Richard Sesay missed an open goal in second half stoppage time but his side did enough to collect the three points.
