TILBURY boss Gary Henty says his side will need a bit of luck to make it through to the Essex Senior Cup final after drawing borough rivals East Thurrock United in the semi-final.

Rocks host the Dockers on Tuesday, February 7, with the winners taking on Chelmsford City or Heybridge Swifts in the final.

And Henty says his team will need to be on top form if they are to make the showpiece occasion.

“No matter who you draw a semi-final will be hard,” he said. “We have a good relationship with East Thurrock and Covo (manager John Coventry) although friendships will be put on hold that night.

“They will know about us and we know about them from playing them in pre-season.

“It will be exciting and hopefully we can get that performance and a bit of luck. If we perform to our maximum and they have an off night we have a chance.”
