Waltham Forest 0

Tilbury 0

RYMAN ONE NORTH: TILBURY shared the points again with relegated Waltham Forest on Saturday.

It was a game which Tilbury had controlled for long periods – but without finding the back of the net. Inside seven minutes Aaron Waters’ free kick was tipped onto the bar by man of the match Tangara.

Seconds later Harry Cook went close from a lovely through ball by Blackman. Paul Vaughan’s Tilbury continued to press and the effective Babalola had some good runs and on two occasions denied by the keeper.

On the half hour Christou hit over from six yards before Cook again went close with a header after good play by Babalola. Just before the break Piers Wixon headed towards goal before the rebound found Cook.

But his strong effort was somehow blocked.

The home side’s first effort came on the whistle when Igbo blazed wide. Tilbury continued to dominate after the break and Blackman’s glancing header just wide after a Waters free kick.

Forest had a good effort on 52 when the talented Menga went through on goal – only to see his decent effort go wide of the goalpost. Both sides had half-chances late in the game, but had to settle for a point each.
