Dockers wait goes on after cloudburst scuppers final

NON-LEAGUE SOCCER: The long-running saga of last season's East Anglian Cup final goes on.

After many false dawns the match between Ryman One North Tilbury and Ridgeons Eastern Counties League division one Halstead Town was set for last night (Thursday 25 February) at the Dockers Chadfields home.

But a deluge of rain less than an hour before the scheduled kick-off caused the match to be postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Earlier in the day the Ryman League Cup fourth round tie between Premier Division Billericay Town and Division One South Sittingbourne was called off due to the New Lodge playing surface being waterlogged.
