Maidenhead threat to Thurrock's fight to pull away from danger zone

THURROCK may have gained some relief from relegation worries with last week’s 2-1 home win over second-from-bottom Fisher Athletic.

But they are likely to again find life tough today when they visit a Maidenhead United side currently sixth in the table with games in hand on all the teams above them and set to make a strong play-off challenge.

Fleet theselves are fifth from bottom, but will be wary of the fact that, basement club Bognor apart, all those below them have played less games.
