Patto in town as Fleet aim to finish on a high
ON Saturday Thurrock play host to Braintree, managed by former East Thurrock United boss Lee Patterson.
Patterson, who lives in Grays, will no doubt have an ear cocked in the direction of Rookery Hill where his old club face an uphill fight for survival, but his main focus will be on the Iron getting a victory.
They have picked up just two points from their last three matches to severely dent their play-off hopes, but they still have a chance of getting there.
Thurrock, well beaten at Bath on Tuesday, have little to play for but pride and they are back on the road on Monday, with a long trip to Newport County.
