THURROCK scored two goals in the final seven minutes to secure a point against Brightlingsea Regent.

Dennis Oli got on the scoresheet in the first half, while Charlie Stimson and Lewwis Spence netted late on to allow Fleet to take a share of the spoils in the Isthmian Premier League encounter.

George Doyle found the top corner of the net with an 18th minute free kick to give the visitors the lead.

But Thurrock equalised just 10 minutes later.

Following a Remi Sutton throw-in, the ball found Oli and the striker spun before striking home.

The half-time break was not kind to Thurrock as, inside a couple of minutes, Robbie Rees poked past Thurrock goalkeeper Jake Jessup from close range.

The pain was extended a few minutes later as Joe Bruce lost his footing and Brightlingsea were clean through on goal.

Jessup repelled the initial effort, but Billy Hunt tapped in to extend the away side's advantage.

Fleet went into the final 10 minutes looking for a route back into the contest, and it came following another Sutton throw-in.

This time, the ball found Stimson, who blasted the ball into the roof of the net.

And Spence hit a leveller past the despairing dive of Brightlingsea goalkeeper Sam Cowler in the dying moments.

Tilbury were in FA Trophy preliminary round action and a 4-0 defeat to Potters Bar Town resulted in Gary Henty resigning as manager.

A Michael Murray double, with the second goal being from the penalty spot, resulted in the hosts going in at half-time two goals to the good.

And a Billy Lobjoit brace completed the scoring and brought an end to Henty's three years in charge of the Dockers.

Meanwhile, managerless Aveley will face Marlow in a replay after playing out a goalless draw.

The replay is set to take place at Parkside on Monday, with kick-off at 7:45pm.
