THURROCK made it four wins and four clean sheets in a row as they climbed up to second in the Ryman North.

Fleet beat Norwich United 2-0 thanks to goals in either half from Glenn Poole and Jordan Clark.

There was little between the sides early on, with Fleet not taking the lead until the half hour mark.

Joe Christou played the ball to Poole and he lashed the ball passed Andrew Wilton in the home goal to make it 1-0.

Richard Halle headed just wide before half-time but Norwich rarely threatened the visitors’ goal.

It was almost 2-0 early in the second-half. Link-up involving Remi Sutton and Charlie Stimson saw the ball fed across the penalty area and Mark Onyemah, who got his toe to the ball, pushed it inches wide.

Norwich had a shot cleared off the line, while Stimson shot wide and Perry Dunn tested Wilton.

David Cowley bent an effort over the bar and the match was wrapped up in the final 10 minutes.

Stimson was fouled in the box and Clark made no mistake from 12 yards.

Aveley also maintained their play-off pace following a 1-0 win at Soham Town Rangers.

Soham started well although Jordan Peart came closest in the opening 30 minutes with an effort that was heroically blocked away.

The hosts missed a golden chance to take the lead but there was nothing between the two at half-time.

Tony Jacobs hit the post before Mason Bloomfield got the only goal of the afternoon.

Peart played in the debutante and he found the bottom corner.

Goalkeeper Lamar Johnson made several smart saves and Michael Toner hit the bar late on as it ended 1-0.

Tilbury drew 1-1 with fellow play-off rivals Bury Town.

The Dockers could have taken the lead in the first-half but Jack Carlile missed from the penalty spot.

Level at half-time, Ollie Hughes put Bury ahead four minutes into the half and that was how it stayed until the final 18 minutes.

Tony Martin did what Carlile couldn’t and scored from 12 yards and it ended all square.
