Haringey Borough 2-2 Thurrock
From Coles Park
Ryman One North
THURROCK battled back from two goals down to secure a hard-fought point at Haringey Borough.
Mark Stimson’s men were two goals down after just 15 minutes, but a goal just before the interval from Harry Agombar and a second from David Cowley were enough to keep Fleet second in the standings.
Thurrock came into the match as strong favourites, with Haringey still not certain of their league status in a tight Ryman One North.
But the hosts started quickly and deservedly went ahead. Anthony Macdonald opened the scoring with just 13 minutes played and it was to get worse before it got better.
Joshua Willer doubled the lead three minutes later, with Fleet shell-shocked.
But Agombar pulled a goal back just before half time and Cowley levelled the scores with 15 minutes remaining to continue his impressive debut season.
Thurrock: Madden, Morgan, Clark, Baker, Sutton, Goode, Agombar, Toner, Wall, Cowley, Winn
