THURROCK won a five-goal cracker at Bury Town to climb into second in the Ryman One North.
Fleet had total control of the match, having taken a 2-0 lead with an hour played.
But back came Bury to draw level before Ross Gleed struck what proved to be the winner 15 minutes from time.
Junior Baker got the ball rolling for Mark Stimson's men as he opened the scoring on the half hour mark and Ronnie Winn, fresh from a brace at the weekend, doubled the lead seven minutes after half-time.
But two goals in 10 minutes brought Bury back into the clash, only for Gleed to head home the winner.
And a late winner for Soham Town Rangers against Harlow Town saw Fleet leapfrog them into second.
Thurrock: Madden, Clark, Olafunmishe, Baker, Sutton, Goode, Agombar, Gleed, R Winn, Toner, Cowley
