Brightlingsea Regent 2–2 Thurrock
From North Road
Ryman One North
THURROCK conceded a 90th minute penalty to draw with a plucky Brightlingsea Regent.
Fleet were looking to make their games in hand count as they closed on top spot, albeit against tricky opposition, and they started the game impressively.
After creating a number of early chances, they took a deserved lead when Remi Sutton lashed in a shot from range to continue his good recent form.
Ten minutes later it was 2-0, and it was another well worked goal. A good cross from David Cowley was met by Charlie Cole and he bulleted home a header.
Jake Clowesley pulled a goal back for Regent before the break to make things interesting.
And so it proved. Regent pushed on after the break and got their goal in the final minutes, as Jake Turner smashed home from the spot to make it 2-2.
Thurrock: Madden, Morgan, Clark, Toner, Sutton, Baker, Christou, Goode, Cole, Wall, Cowley
