Soham Town Rangers 1–2 Thurrock
From Julius Martin Lane
Ryman One North
THURROCK came from behind in the most dramatic fashion against Soham Town Rangers to secure another win.
Trailing after 88 minutes, Charlie Stimson and Lewwis Spence kept Fleet’s winning run going and lift them to second in the league.
Thurrock thumped Great Wakering on Saturday and were favourites to continue their good recent form against Soham, who did beat Aveley over the weekend.
Fleet created a number of first-half chances but were unable to break the deadlock.
They were handed a boost after the break when Jordan Gent was dismissed for two yellow cards but they actually fell behind as the clock ticked down.
George Darling netted with just seven minutes remaining to put the 10-man hosts ahead.
And that appeared to be how it was going to stay, until Stimson popped up to level the match.
And Mark Stimson’s team still weren’t finished, as Spence notched to complete the turnaround.
Thurrock: Madden, Morgan, L Clark, Toner, Sutton, J Clark, Christou, Spence, Stimson, Wall, Cowley
