Thurrock 2–0 Maldon & Tiptree
From Ship Lane
Ryman One North
THURROCK won yet again to continue their march into the play-offs after a 2-0 win against Maldon & Tiptree.
Thurrock were on an eight match unbeaten run in the league and faced a Maldon side who had been struggling for consistency so far this term and were sitting in mid table.
Charlie Stimson opened the scoring after 25 minutes to continue his impressive recent form.
And when Hamish Galbraith put the ball into his net on the stroke of half time things were looking bright for Mark Stimson’s men.
Fleet held on to the advantage in the second half to record yet another win although, as was the case on Saturday, they received a late red card as Lewis Clark was dismissed.
Thurrock: Madden, Morgan, L Clark, Toner, Sutton J Clark, Christou, Spence, Stimson, Wall (Duncan), Cowley
