LAKESIDE Hammers boss Jon Cook has been busy on the telephone following the recent injury problems at the Club arranging a team for Saturday's visit to Eastbourne for the second leg of their Knockout Cup Semi Final tie against the Eagles.

In addition to being without Adam Shields, Jonas Davidsson and Joonas Kylmakorpi though injury they will also be without Andreas Jonsson, who will be taking part in the Latvian Grand Prix the same evening.

The team to for Saturday at Eastbourne will therefore be: 1. Rider Replacement, 2. Leigh Lanham, 3. Rory Schlein (Guest), 4. Kevin Doolan (Guest), 5. Billy Janniro (Guest), 6. Ricky Kling, 7. Lubos Tomicek.

Any of the Hammers six riders will be able to take an additional ride in respect of the 'Rider Replacement' facility.

One of the Hammers trio of injured riders has vowed to return to action in time for the Elite League play offs.

Speaking from his hospital bed first year Hammer Jonas Davidsson, who suffered a punctured lung, a shoulder injury and internal injuries a week ago in Sweden, has told team boss Jon Cook that he intends to be back racing in time to join his remaining team mates for the play-offs.

Cook commented on this news saying: "It was tremendous to hear such positive news from JD. He really has taken the Club to his heart and, subject to some further tests in mid week, he fully expects to be back racing in time to reach full fitness ahead of the play-offs."
